Celebrating the Women of Ferrovial Services North America: The third of five employee highlights

Driven by Knowledge

Starting her position in 2018, Natalia Kuznetsova brings more than 15 years of accounting and finance leadership experience in diverse industries to Ferrovial Services. At the age of 25, Natalia was hired as chief accountant for a dairy products manufacturer, Tom-Mas, and later became Finance Director of the company.

As a Consolidation and Reporting Analyst, Natalia supports the business by consolidating the financial statements and reporting package of Ferrovial Services International, for which she collaborates with Canada, Poland, Portugal, Chile and Qatar. Natalia says she enjoys being able to provide financial data to support informed management decisions. The financial information she provides helps develop and implement business strategy.

“The fact that accountants are strategic advisors makes me proud,” she says.

Natalia credits education and practical experience, along with encouragement and support from her professors and mentors, for her success. She has two master’s degrees, in economics and jurisprudence.

“Education has been the biggest shaper of my professional career,” says Natalia.

Her career mentor is a senior lecturer at the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom. “I am lucky and thankful to have him in my life.”

Natalia gets her inspiration from her grandmother, Tamara, who she calls her best friend and guiding star. Tamara began working at age 14 during World War II, and 30 years later she became the head of a tailor shop.

“She taught me a lot about respect, emotional intelligence, courage and honesty by her own example,” says Natalia. “She always believed in me.”

Natalia believes education and practical experience are key for women entering her profession.

“Be optimistic, keep in mind whom do you want to be in the nearest future and follow your dreams,” Natalia says. “Constantly be ready to learn new skills and build a fresh perspective.”

Natalia is happily married with two young children, Camilla and Bernie. When she is not working, Natalia enjoys cooking, sewing and working out. She is passionate about the arts, drama theatre, opera and ballet.

Ferrovial Services North America is proud to highlight Natalia Kuznetsova for International Women’s Day.
